Did you know you can get Slow Cooker Replacement Parts and Accessories?
Slow Cookers have come a long way since their introduction in 1970. Back then choices were pretty simple; one with a ceramic insert, one lid option, and one slow cooker color. Today our options are nearly endless. We can even purchase slow cooker replacement parts for our favorite cooker.
There are many options available in slow cookers. The shape of the crock pot inserts can be round or oval. Slow cooker lids can be a traditional lid or come with a clamp ensuring a spill free trip. Accessories to assist in cooking include; a meat rack in a variety of sizes and styles, stainless steel forks and tongs, non-scratch slotted ladles, additional non scratch utensils are also available for your crock pot.
Slow Cookers certainly make entertaining easy. Use the Rival 5-Quart Slow Cooker with Little Dipper to cook, warm and serve all at once (great for parties). Purchase additional slow cooker inserts for additional servings with a large crowd.
No longer do we have to worry about our dishes spilling out as we travel. You can purchase crock pot lids which make the crock pots easily transportable with a clamp lid. Already have a slow cooker? You can purchase a Crock Pot Travel Bag for large or small crock pots. Any messes that may occur will be contained in the travel case not all over your vehicle or clothes.

Check out the full line of slow cooker replacement parts, inserts and clamping lids in stores and online. You will find a full line of products to meet your every slow cooking need.
Slow Cookers certainly have made making a great dinner in these busy times easy. But what do you do if you lose or break a lid, crock or other accessory for your slow cooker? Manufactures have made even that easy and convenient.
I have now included an auction at this site to help you find the slow cooker and replacement parts you need, just CLICK HERE to go there.
There is never a better time to purchase or update your crock pot than now. Enjoy an easy and delicious dinner tonight and know if accidents happen and you break something you can easy replace it.

I have a question. Back, many years ago, I used crock pots. The only problem I found was when I used onions in what I would cook. The taste seemed to change and the dish never came out as good as it should. I haven’t used one in some time. Do you feel this problem was due to the products used back in the 70s to make the pots? Have they improved enough to try again?
Martha
Martha I have a pot that is from the 70s and has a ceramic liner but haven’t found that problem. If yours was ceramic then I don’t think the onion would be affected although you could try adding them towards the end and that may do the trick.
I haven’t found that trouble and yes, crock pots have changed a lot over the years. I think they have improved on the design but sometimes the newer ones cook at a higher heat.
Also, just a thought, some brands used to suggest you fill it with water and cook on high for an hour initially. You could try that if all else fails.
I broke a lid once and got a replacement so I was happy you could get them.
The removable base is also the best thing they have improved over the years.
Hi Pauline. I am trying to get a bread/cake pan for my slow cooker. It’s a 6.5 litre oval shaped one. Do you think a round pan would work? Or is there an oval one? Are they available in Australia? Any help would be appreciated.
Jan, Rival made a Bread’n Cake Pan years ago but it was round. I haven’t seen an oval one but I will have a look around for you. Has anyone got anything to share here in the meantime?
Maybe a compromise would be to use a deep oval vegetable dish. Jan try the fit for a round pan in there and tell me what size fits. Maybe a round one could be used if there is no oval one. The Rival round one is around 8 inches in diameter and there are at least two depths.
Desperately need the stoneware insert for a 70′s-80′s sunbeam “crocker-cooker-fryer”. Sunbeam says they no longer make it and can’t help. seem to have exhausted all the internet listings. no one is interested to help. I have used this pot at least 3 times a month for years and years and someone must have dropped it in the sink and cracked it. can you make a suggestion to help? the number on the bottomof the electric unit is 9 13. thanks
Jan all I can suggest is that you look on EBay as they have a few on there by Rival and Hamilton Beach. The biggest drawback for you would be the postage cost to Australia. Oztion is another site like EBay but much smaller.
Wynne
I think that you will just have to look periodically at Ebay too and google the term “sunbeam crocker cooker fryer”. Set your search to worldwide. If you cant get the ceramic insert you might have to buy the the whole appliance. Its very difficult when you break something that is so old as you have to rely on someone selling their antique crock pot to get the parts but they do come along. I waited a long time to get an old crock pot cook book but I finally found the one I wanted at a trash-n-treasure market. I love my old crock pot as well as my new one so I understand how you feel.
You can try the eBay auction site here too. Just click on the top right hand corner where it lists the page “Crock Pots & Parts Auction”.
Thanks Pauline. You are right about the postage! For a $10 item the postage is around $40! Not worth it. I will keep checking e-bay here in the hopes that something will turn up, but I am beginning to think it’s one of those things that was never available here.
I am searching for recipe book for “Rival bread n’cake insert” I just purchased the “insert” on EBay
and hope to find the recipe book. Can anyone tell me where I can find this cookbook???
Thank you, Rjw
I need a replacement lid for Rival Crock Pot #SCC658
I have a new feature on the site which is an AUCTION SITE for crock pots, accessories and parts.
I hope you find the lid or instruction manual you need there. There are so many brands and styles out there that I thought
this was the best way that people would find what they needed in one place.
Rena I just found the Cake’nBake insert at a local thrift shop so I came looking on the internet to find out more about it. The one I found looks like it has never been used. I didn’t ask about the price but it will probably be a couple of dollars.
In my internet search, I found a link for the pdf version of the recipe booklet – it is only 2 pages but includes lots of recipes as well as instructions.

Thanks Barbara for that link. Now Jan and I have to find one in Australia. We aren’t having much luck. I wish I had never given mine away years ago.
I have a crock pot I love but I just found it has a crack in the lid. Can I still use it? Is it safe to use?
Anita this is a very good question so I am going to answer it in more detail on a post.
looking for a small meat rack for my 1.5qt crock pot. Can’t find one anywhere.
Have you looked at the eBay auction on the site? There are pages of results there. Sometimes though if it is an unusual part you might have to wait awhile.
Re: Cracked Crockpot Lid.
Years ago mine broke completely, I used a dinner plate upside down for ages until I replaced it.
ALSO -
I am looking for a cake pan that will fit into my crockpot too. Used to have a Monier one years ago, gave it away, kick myself now.
Yes a dinner plate will work if it is the right size but you still may lose a little heat during cooking. I am still kicking myself for giving my cake pan away too.
Looking for a round cermic liner for Rival model 3154. Know it is from the 60-70′s found a replacement 21 years ago and now it has cracked in half. Lid broke a long time ago and used a dinner plate over foil with the shiny side down. It worked great. May just have to get a fancy new one.
Rival probably wont be able to help you but you can try eBay. They have a section called “want it now” and sellers will look on there. Its worth a try.
I still use the one from the 70s that my aunt gave to our family as a Christmas gift. Still going strong, knock on wood! She was thoughtful enough to give us the one where the ceramic pot is removable – Rival had been selling them with the UNREMOVABLE pots and people truly disliked having to clean them.
When she gave us the crock pot, Rival had enclosed offers for the Bread ‘N Cake Pan and for a hardback cook book – so I sent away for both for just a few bucks.
I didn’t get around to using that B/C Pan until about 15 years ago, and loved it, but got lazy and didn’t use it again.
Lately, to save on electricity (our rates in Florida went sky-high) and instead of using the oven to bake (I love to bake), I pulled out the little B/C Pan and started to use it. Wow – what a dream it has been!
Also, I discovered was the recipe book that came with the original crock pot is THE best for all the crock pot recipes – and the hardback recipe book is just a back up.
I made a tasty chocolate cake using mayonnaise (as per the original recipe book – and let’s not talk about calories, please) which turned out fine. I then tried a pineapple upside down cake which was tasty but I must have beat it too much – or filled the Pan too high – because it stuck to the locking lid and I had a terrible time getting the lid off! I thought the Pan was a goner! After much struggle and punching a knife through the vents, it came off, but that was a good lesson to me to be more careful with both recipe and filling the Pan.
Last night I tried a white fruitcake (again, using the original recipe book that came with the crock pot), remembering that the first one I tried 15 years ago turned out pretty good.
Well, this time it turned out even better! Absolutely delicious! Would make a terrific holiday gift, too! Just loaded with goodies! It took five hours on high (times may vary), was not a problem to get out of the Pan, and after an overnight stay in the refrigerator, it is HEAVEN!
Using the Bread ‘N Cake Pan has been terrific, I must say. NOT turning on my oven is a God-send! I absolutely noticed a reduction in my utility bill (I tend to use the oven a great deal – now? Not so much!).
Ebay sellers do continue to offer the Pan (mine is the upright one, not the oval one) and I highly recommend bidding on one, though I can’t believe some go for $20 and up. I’ve not tried a coffee can, but I understand that they can be used also, and might be worth a try.
Happy baking in your crock pot!
I have two crock pots and one of them is an original without the removable crock but it cooks very well still. I used to have a Bread N’ Bake Cake pan but I misplaced in in one of my moves
I love baking in my crock pot though and the cakes rise well and the finished cake looks good too.
Thanks for your comment and I am glad you enjoy the crock pot as much as I do after so many years. I have an original small cookbook but not the hard cover one. Here’s to you and future crock pot cooking!
